Playing or narrating
I am playing too (the usual way)
You get a role like everyone else. Your host panel only shows what any player could know, and who has submitted. You see each outcome on the TV at the same moment as the room.
I am the narrator, not playing
You see every role and every choice as it is made, and you can correct mistakes. Every correction needs a reason, and everyone sees it at the end.
Before the day
- 1
Make the game
On the New game page, choose one night or two, whether you are playing, and how votes are shown. Leave the number of Sleekit and the Doctor on Automatic unless you have a reason. You need the server's passcode.
- 2
Add every player
Five to sixteen names, all different. If you are playing, add yourself and tick This is me, the host. A young child can play as a pair with an adult, on one phone.
- 3
Set any limits
Open a name to mark them Never Sleekit or Safe on the first night. Tell the room at the opening, for example that the youngest cannot be Sleekit.
- 4
Send the links
Under Links, copy each player's link and send it to them. They choose a four-digit PIN. The panel shows who has claimed theirs.
- 5
Draw the roles
Once everyone has claimed their link, press Assign roles. This happens once and cannot be redone. Players hold the card on their phone to read their role.
During the game
- Open the Reveal screen link on the TV before the opening.
- Your panel always has one big button for the next step, such as Start Night 1 or Close the vote.
- If you are playing, you see who has chosen, never what. As narrator, you see every choice.
- When the TV has news, press Show next step and read each line aloud. Take your time; nothing is timed.

If something goes wrong
Most of this is in the Problems section of your panel.
Someone lost their phone
They can sign in on another phone with their name and PIN. Or give them a new link. Once the roles are drawn, everyone is told you did.
Someone is out of the room
Mark them away for this vote so you can close it without them.
Someone has to leave
Remove them from the game. Their role stays secret until the end.
You need the narrator's view
If you are playing, the sealed envelope makes you narrator for good. It takes you out of the game and tells everyone.
Afterwards
When the game ends, everyone sees the record: every role and what everyone did each night. The Sleekit's private chat is shown only if every Sleekit agrees.
The game is deleted thirty days after it ends. You can delete it sooner from the bottom of your panel.
